How does Aries deal with breakups?

Breakups are a horrible experience for anyone. When you are accustomed to being with a romantic partner, it can feel like it’s impossible to live without them. Who are you supposed to spend all of your time with now? We all deal with this type of pain differently, because we handle rejection in different ways. So, how does Aries, the sign of the ram, deal with breakups?

If you break up with a partner that is Aries, be prepared for a strong emotional response. Aries ascendants like to be in control of things and strive to be the best at everything they do. It is from this drive that they want to be the best partner. A breakup signals the opposite to them. This is why they become deeply hurt during a breakup. Fortunately, their initial emotional reaction will not last long, so don’t take their rantings and ravings too seriously. 1. They are too impulsive and spontaneous. This can be an endearing quality. For example, an Aries might surprise you with a gift or an act of affection. But it also can be disastrous, when their impulsive behavior has negative consequences to you or to others. If these unfortunate instances build up over time, it can simply be too much to bear.
2. They are too controlling. Aries likes to be the head of the household. They are more of a leader than a follower. Tensions can arise if you are just as independent as they are. Their overtures to lead can feel like control, making you feel smothered. This can cause the relationship to fail.
3. They have a quick temper. This often can result in judgmental behavior that is incorrect or unfair to you. While the temper flare ups of Aries usually are short-lived and they are ready to resume as though nothing happened at all, it’s unfortunate that you’re likely to be still reeling from the onslaught and desperately trying to process what happened. The damage can be deep and long lasting.
4. They are too demanding. Aries wants what they want and when they want it. Aries need a ready outlet for their enthusiasm and ambition. They are not very patient and lean more towards instant gratification. Their desire to make things happen on their schedule can be overwhelming at times and lead to personal resentments.
5. They are too competitive. Arians relish competition and always want to be the best at everything they do. While these traits typically help them advance in their careers, they sometimes can be overwhelming and exhausting in a relationship.

1. They feel boxed in by you. Aries cannot tolerate limitations placed on their personal autonomy or the possessive nature of a partner. They don’t like being bossed around or told what to do either. Aries are somewhat hypocritical in this respect because they always want to be in control of things, including your relationship.
2. You don’t make enough of an effort to understand them. As the first sign of the Zodiac, Aries is also the most independent and headstrong. They don’t like having to change their agenda to suit other people and can be revengeful if crossed. Because they often act impulsively, Aries ascendants have to suffer the consequences of their actions. For this reason, Aries has a desperate need for their romantic partner to understand them. In their mind, what might appear to be excessive or self-indulgent behavior to others, is merely the logical response to a situation. It’s just the way they are.
3. You are unfaithful to them. Aries put their heart and soul into a relationship. They expect the same from a romantic partner. So they never will forgive a romantic partner for cheating on them.
4. You are holding them back. As a fire sign, Aries responds to life with a burning, unquenchable passion that demands an active outlet and quick gratification. If a partner attempts to interfere with them reaching for their goals and dreams, they will end the relationship.
5. You show a lack of sexual intimacy (based upon their standards). Aries like frequent, hot and steamy lovemaking. They want an active relationship with lots of spontaneity. They get bored easily. If they think that the relationship is not sufficiently passionate, they will leave.

One thing that is important to remember is that breakups are rarely fair to all parties. From your perspective, none of the above may be true and valid reasons for a breakup. A sure sign that Aries is ready for a change is that they don’t talk to you or relate to you like you are their soulmate. If everything is going right, Aries will make you feel worshipped, admired and special.

Aries have an idealistic view of their relationship and don’t want it to end. Letting go is not easy for them because deep down they fear being alone. This makes them feel weak and they hate being weak. They will tend to procrastinate when it comes to breaking up. This manifests in them becoming distant or ignoring you, even when you make attempts to engage them.

If you are fighting more often and are not really making up, then beware. Aries tend to be quick tempered, but will be equally quick to make up after a fight. If this doesn’t happen, if you get the silent treatment or something similar for a protracted period, watch out. It may be a sign that they are ready to leave.

As I have noted previously, Aries like to feel that they are in control of things. If they start to express annoyance when you make a plan without consulting them or express an opinion different from them, then beware.

Don’t make the mistake in thinking that Aries ascendants are tyrants. They are not. An Aries romantic partner is affectionate, considerate, and will make you feel like you are the most important person in the universe when things are going right. Aries ascendants are willing to share control with you to some extent, but if they feel like they are being micromanaged, the end is near.

How do Aries ascendants behave during a breakup

It takes a long time for Aries to commit to a relationship. This is because they tend to view it as impinging on their fierce sense of independence. But once they find that special someone, they pour their soul into the relationship and want it to last forever. They expect the same devotion from their romantic partner.

Aries ascendants are incurable optimists that can be disarmingly idealistic when beginning a romantic relationship. They dive in with unbridled enthusiasm and ambition and want it to be the best in every way possible. Aries ascendants have a childlike innocence about them and believe in the happily-ever-after fantasy. As the zodiac’s warrior sign, they will fight to make a relationship last.

However, they also can be remarkably naïve when it comes to maintaining a relationship or ending one. For Aries, love is a magical feeling and a breakup is like someone stabbing them in their heart.

Even though Aries would prefer that a relationship endures forever, if tension has been building, they’re likely to be the ones to initiate the breakup. This is because they need to feel in control and their competitive nature makes them want to emerge as the winner in the breakup game.

When the tables are turned and Aries is the focus of the breakup, their quick temper typically overtakes them and they become infuriated. Aries is the sign of self-love. They are proud and confident. The thought of someone rejecting them is a massive blow to their ego. Although others sink into self-doubt after a breakup, Aries typically are astonished and confused about why anyone would want to leave them. They consider themselves to be a real catch.

Although they don’t deal with the situation easily, once they have accepted it, they focus their attention elsewhere and won’t spend a lot of energy rehashing what happened. Instead, their competitive spirit kicks in and they want to rebound before their ex-partners.

How to rekindle a relationship with an Aries ascendant

To rekindle a relationship with an Aries, they probably will only respond to a direct approach. Melodramatic apologies, whining over of what went wrong, or recriminations will get you nowhere with them.

Simply state that you would like to put the past behind you and make a brand new start. Leave it at that. Make only one attempt. If that fails, don’t waste your time running after your Aries ex-partner. Accept that the relationship is not recoverable and move on.  At least that way you’ll keep your own self-respect and will have the respect of your Aries ex-partner.
